Description
The Web Reader is a versatile ChatGPT plugin designed to help you extract and query data from various types of online documents. Whether you're dealing with PDFs, DOCs, HTML content, or even files from cloud storage services like Google Drive and Dropbox, this plugin makes it easy to pull the information you need directly into your ChatGPT conversation.
How to use:
1. Installation
To get started, you can either search for the Web Reader plugin in the ChatGPT plugin store or simply click the "try it" button located at the top right of this page. This will open a chat in ChatGPT with the plugin already activated.
2. Provide URL
Once the plugin is activated, you'll need to provide the URL of the document you want to read. This can be a link to a PDF, Word document, or any other supported file type.
3. Query String
If you're looking for specific information within the document, you can provide a query string. This will help the plugin to fetch only the relevant sections from the document based on your query.
4. Select Pages
For documents with multiple pages, you have the option to filter the content by specifying which pages you want to read. This is particularly useful for lengthy documents where you only need information from certain pages.
5. Prompt Examples
- "Read the content of this PDF for me: [Insert PDF URL]"
- "Fetch the introduction section from this document: [Insert Document URL]"
- "Read pages 5-10 from this PDF: [Insert PDF URL]"
- "Extract tables from this Excel sheet: [Insert Excel URL]"
